Forums - General Discussion - How much money do you spend a day on food?

Hmm... I'm a tight bastard soo.... I don't usually have breakfast. Make batch meals, cheap lunches. Prob £30-40 over the week. Rarely eat out.

Do however spend a lot of money on milk. Go through that like crazy. Loves me some tea.

Hmm, pie.

Quick investment tip: if you save only 5$ every day with 3% interest, starting at the age of 20 ending at retirement 65, you will have 166000$ saved - a good rural house.

If you want to give an investment tip perhaps give a tip on where you could find somebody offering 3% interest, particularly on such a small amount?

Many long term saving accounts do not require a minmum, but I would prefer something tangible like stocks, either a index or a larger portfolio from companies that you like. You still might have to save the first thousands without interest helping you...

Stocks have a long term average returns of 7% over the last century, so it is attainable. Btw if you save 10$ a day with 7% over 45 years you will have more than a million.

Probably £20 per day on average

Profile pic checks out.

Hahaha. I don't drink so food is priority. It's probably a bit less than that but £400-500 a month sounds right. I mean just eating out 3-4 times a week is around £70-80 if not more which pushes my monthly food allowance up.

stop eating fast food

You will save money and stop being so fat

Fast food is much cheaper where I live :P. Of course I spend more for the luxuries of vegetables, haven't had fast food in months.

Though when I was on fast food diet I was at my skinniest, due to lack of exercise.

Sometimes I don't even eat (I do drink water tho), but on days that I do I'd say around $1-10. I'm a college student as well so Ramen and Eggs are staples in my diet...yeah. Just one more semester of this shit.

Around a ten quid a day.
Spend 20 quid or so a week in Nero also, damn i have a caffeine addiction.
