So many people spending just a couple bucks a day on food.

Not sure exactly. During the week I eat lunch at the cafeteria at work, and dinner at home, while weekends I'll usually bring something back while I'm out running chores, but eat breakfast/lunch at home. I guess I'd average it $8-$10/day...but it varies a lot.

Since I almost never eat out I would say its probably a lot less then $5 dollars a day. Plus I buy most of my food from Aldi's and when I do buy name brand food I only do when its on sale.

If I'm hungry af during lunch hours, I just buy lunch for around $8-$10, otherwise I wait to get home for a late lunch/dinner.

I don’t really spend on food food per day. I do a weekly food shop (on a Friday) and spend around £100 on it, this will feed me my long term girlfriend and my daughter for a week.
However we decided to start eating fresh food over a year ago and instantly noticed how much more expensive it is to eat like this (we still do eat fresh) our shop went from £60-80 till £100.

basically if you eat out its 5~10 dollars per meal.
if you eat in thats for an entire day, mostly towards dinner with meat.
a cereal breakfast with a side fruit costs like 1~2$,
a sandwitch breakfast of PBJ costs ae same, though a ham or egg sandwhich will run you 3$ if you eat a lot like me. (or a nutella and PB sandwhich)
dinner... costs a lot when you eat meat.upwards of 7$ if we have lots of meat to grill. then again, cheap takeout costs around that much anyway.

Working days I buy lunch, thats €9-11
Other meals are about €6
So roughly €16 most days

Probably £20 per day on average
