Forums - General Discussion - How much money do you spend a day on food?

If I think about really everything I eat and drink and their related costs (energy, water), I think it should be about 9-11€ per day.
Lunch at work (delivered) about 6€ in average, at evening sometimes kebap for 3.50€, sometimes sandwiches. The remaining is for bread and stuff (for sandwiches) and drinks. Coke Zero 4x1.5L bottles is something like 4.50€ here. That makes about 0.65€ per day. But thats not enough drinking even though I get free water at work. I guess it should be around 1€ per day.
All in all its probably pretty average - neither really much nor really little.

Thinking about the min. you need per day to not starve I think 3€ per day (or 20€ per week) can do it, but I guess it is pretty shitty then^^

I get 2900 calories a day, 465 carbs, and 174 grams of protein. It costs me about $8-9 a day.

$8 a day.

I think I probably average about $18 per day. I buy lunch for about $7 maybe 4 days per week. I buy two $10 dinners, one $15 dinner, and one $25 dinner just about every week. Then I eat cheaper stuff at home the rest of the time.

I think the OP means just the meals, not factoring in stuff like chips & sweets ect.

You can include whatever lol. I'm in college so I get food from my grandmothers and mom. Every Wednesday I have Information Systems Club which buys pizza for us and Church meal at night. They usually have free food if you go to the clubs. Otherwise I purchased a $12 Sub yesterday and a $3 Blizzard today. That's what I spent this week for food. School is offering me $3,400 to eat for 28 weeks (all you can eat buffet, 3 meals a day).

Under 5 euro a day, if it is a day where I invite family etc more than 50 euro a person.

I cook together with my workers and they make excellent food Thai/Chinese/tibetan/indian.

I'm used to prepare my own food and where I live ingredients are great quality but very cheap so I guess its something around 5€-10€ depending on the day and counting everything, even drinks and desserts.

Anything under 6$ and "my hats off to you", thats impressive.

How do you manage that? thats with breakfast + dinner each day? for 1.5$?

I guess I go to a restaurant about once a week but apart from that maybe £4-5 a day. Add in the restaurant maybe £6-8 a day.

I spent around

$1 on breakfast
$2 on in betweens
$4 on lunch
$5 on dinner

so around $12 i eat decently healthy
