Forums - General Discussion - How much money do you spend a day on food?

I'm trying to figure it out for myself while ordering food. Currently since getting back from Army training I've been spending maybe $1 a day on food. This shit sucks so I'm thinking about getting a meal plan in college (roughly $6 a meal) which would make my total daily about $21 a day. I would be eating good, but that's pretty damn expensive.

If I had to guess, I'd say between 5€ and 7€ would be pretty close. Of course it varies, and on most days, it's probably less. However, some days are more expensive (e.g because of eating out), which brings the average up.

$3 AUD at max.

How in the world people spend that little?
I'm not even eating well, and I spend around 9-12 USD a day.

Eating well is lowest cost if you make your own food like rice, noodles, potatoes etc. You can live from 2$ aday if you limit yourself to basic food items.

Varies widely. I do get restaurant delivery 1-2 times a week. If I had to guess I'd say around 10-15€ a day.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

1000 ~ 1500 yen.

Not much, not much at all.

3.5-4€ a day (VAT included).

Also I'm eating meat every day.

around 10$ per person if my family only eats at home for the day.
then again, where I live organic food is pretty expensive.

I guess average CAD 170 a week on food for 4 people, About CAD 6 a day per person. It costs less per person to make food for 4 of course, 2 are only half size as well (kids)

I used to live quite unhealthy when I lived alone. Usually some fresh pastry item for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch, Burger King, Pizza or microwave dinner for dinner. Probably $20 a day in today's value.
