Forums - Gaming Discussion - Best game to sell under 1 million copies

The gameDB is being slow, so I am just gonna guess:

Demon's Souls.
Persona 3/FES.

Around the Network

NieR
Bravely second
Prey (2017)
Yakuza 5

F-zero GX for gamecube

Demon souls since it is responsible for the whole soulborne genre.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I can't pick just 1

Shining Soul 2 (GBA) According to VGChartz this sold about 80,000
Ghost in the Shell (PS1) Again this is estimated at only 100,000
Any Panzer Dragoon game, maybe even the whole series, VGChartz has the entire series estimated at 1.05 million.
Vagrant Story (PS1)
Koudelka (PS1)

Tons more but thats what I instantly thought of and have to stop somewhere.

Around the Network

Skies of Arcadia
Mega Man Legends 1/2
Eternal Darkness
Kirby Canvas Curse
WWE Day of Reckoning
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Bayonetta 2

My man!

Aside from Mega Man (I've never played a Mega Man game...) I've played and loved every game you listed. In fact I still have them! Great stuff.

Xenoblade Chronicles. Honorable mention: Eternal Darkness.

Hum thinking about it, I should of add Fire Emblem Echoes in my list xD

how about the ENTIRE FRANCHISE not including awakening and fates (sitting at 2 and 1.8  mil). FE7 sits at 0.97mil.

but most importently, FE9 and 10.

Well as a 7 and 8 fan I really hated it at first as it was ruler only. But after multiple attempts at trying to like the game a bit more it grew on me. The worst mechanic of the game was barbarians, if you bordered them you lose 3 cities automatically because they start with 300k troops and destory cities in an instant through BSery vs you with 20k  or so at the start. However to circumvent this I beat the game and destroyed them as well, so I unlocked them for play. Then I choose all them, which nerfs them into 100k troops and pretty much a regular force. Then I usually make them surrender to whoever they deserve to be with. Finally with them taken care of we can play the regular ROTK9 game lol. The game has some really good strategy imo and some decent balancing between the 3 kingdoms.

8 was easy once you learned a good strategy and played a decent officer, while 9 is always hard. Agression wasn't annoying like in XIII, and superstar officers can still make the difference. But you can still accomplish a lot with bad officers.

And yeah I rate 10 at the lowest.

hmm, it sounds interesting. I like the idea of the barbarians at least, although they do sound OP and annoying. I definitely want to try it some day then.

And yeah, 8 could be easy. But part of that is definitely because it was hard to get a proper game over. Your force is completely wiped out? Swear allegiance to the guy that wiped you out and then later on stab him in the back and take over his force. My favourite part of 8 was that you had the option to do stuff like that and weren't stuck in a ruler only game. But I really enjoyed 11 which was ruler only, so 9 would be worth trying at least

Yeah, the problem is balancing in most RoTK games. Just making Wei OP and bumrush a single kingdom every time wasn't that fun. I did manage to get great game in ROTK8 though as Sun Quan during the 3 kingdom era. Was at war with them for 20 years, and by the time I destroyed them I died of old age and max stats. In ROTK9, going head to head is much easier but more complicated, so long as the barbarians dont attack you while you away. Also you can still improve officer stats in ROTK9 but you are improving  every single officer in your force, everytime they do something.
