I don't understand why people care about VR and I never want it to become the norm. Oh well. I'll be dead long before it becomes the norm, or even very popular.

This ^

You're 16. Unless you plan seppuku you'll be alive while VR is popular xD

VR is pretty cool. When RE7 came out i got a chance to play it on my friends PSVR and it was a great experience.

Most useless gaming gimmick since 3D.

How is it useless?

Because it's more fun to be in the game and freely look around instead of looking at it through a window?
I hope you still have more than a decade to live.

I was referring to your first sentence, sorry for not specifying. And aren't you like 1 year older me? Xd

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I don't get it personally. I'd rather know my surrounding and also feel like if I wanted to i could easily get out of a game.

Eh

Damn, they're complaining because they're selling too much lol. They could dominate all of the market with PSVR2 if they support PC. I really hope they will do that, it's better for the consumer to just buy PSVR and have it work on 2 of machines. HMDs should be interchangeable, just like controllers.

Why would the PSVR dominate the PC market.  They would lose out to the OR and VIVE on hardware and pretty soon MS and their partners will have a device in the Market that does both AR/VR for a cheaper price.  If anything the the PC market is going to become more competitive which should be good for Sony.  Better,. cheaper devices will increase adoption of VR and thus more games.  If MS makes a standard framework then we will see more AR/VR devices in the market at cheaper prices which should hit that sweet spot for mass market appeal.

Sony sales are already a lot bigger than the others while they are outside of PC, so the probability of they selling even more if on PC is real, and it's even possible that they could outsell HTC and Oculus on PC as well.

Has it passed 2m shipped yet? Its been available for almost a year now.

The fact that this is in the lead just shows you how little demand there is for VR.

Possibly so, they sold 500k in 3 low sales months, why wouldn't they have sold 1.5M in the other 9 months?

All reports Sony gave on PSVR were of good sales.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

If this is the way Mr. House feels, then I am not a fan of him in the role he is in.

If PlayStation is leading the way in VR, then they should be opening up the platform to other types of content and applications. The whole push early on was to use PSVR to catapult themselves into contention with Apple, MS, and Google as an industry leader in the future.

Sony has an opening to own 50% or more of the VR market which will eventually bloom into the 100's of millions of units sold a year. They had better get with the program, and not let another massive opportunity slip away.

Eh

Getting out of a game is very easy, take headset off!

As for the first thing, do you have trust issues in your environment? Do you ever play a game or watch a movie with the door closed? How do you know what's going on behind the wall? I don't play with headphones though since my surround system sounds better, plus it allows me to stay aware of my surroundings. Sound is a much better way to stay aware, f*** people that walk/jog with headphones on!

I don't like gaming with headphones on for the simple reason that does cut me off completely. I can hear what happens behind my back, above me, in the other room. Unless your wife uses sign language to communicate, you're fine with a headset, not so much with headphones :)

Pretty good sales. Small price cut and expansion to PC would be a good next step to building the audience (and increase 3rd party willingness to invest in VR).
