That almost looks like a game I would play...
Something that cannot be said about the base game.

I'm reminded of the FPS Mega Man game that never was. Could have really been interesting to see that series have any kind of life these days.

Same here. And considering new Megaman titles are not really in sight I sadly doubt this will be done anytime soon.

Other ideas:

A Fire Emblem beat'em up à la Soul Calibur (though one can argue that Smash bros fills that niche already)

Speaking of Fire Emblem, how about a Fire Emblem RTS game? Or one where you actually move entire armies around, not just some individuals.

In the Mario Franchise, how about a game where you control Bowser and his Koopa Troopa to conquer Mushroom Kingdom for a change?

They tried a FE RTS on the Wii.

It never came out...

That being said, it would be nice to see them come back to that concept.

I want a turn-based team RPG of Borderlands. You can get all the characters and it plays like an old style Final Fantasy game.

It's hard to say.  But I think we can look at Metroid for a possible answer, as some of the developers of Prime worked on the Mega Man FPS.  

Uncharted or the last of us racing team. Now in all seriousness I would like to see a more RPG orientated R&C or Jack and Daxter.
