nintendo switch is coming to korea this holiday at a pricetag of 360,000 won, realesing alongside 12 games, including mario oddesey and sonic forces, with mario kart 8 soon after.

How come Capcom releases and localizes MH XX in Korea but not in the West?

it isn't localized. its just subbed... and japanese is really easy to translate into korean, unlike... most western languages.

plus most korean gamers/anime fans(as anime is mainstream) prefer japanese audio.

By that logic, the game has already been localized for the western market. MH Generations for the 3DS is the exact same game (and thus the exact same text), just for the 3DS. Why is it easier to do in korean than in english when they already did so for the 3DS?

didn't you read what I just said? translating is FAR easier to do japanese to korean than japanese to english. hell, google translate is pretty accurate with this from my expirience.

Monster Hunter XX Switch ver. is literally just an upgraded port of Monster Hunter X on the 3DS. Monster Hunter X was released in the West with the name Monster Hunter Generations. And Monster Hunter Generations was translated and fully localized in english (hell, according to https://www.nintendo.es/Juegos/Nintendo-3DS/Monster-Hunter-Generations-1090846.html it was translated to english, spanish, french, german and italian). There is no reason why they couldn't just copypaste the texts already translated to the Switch version. But if they aren't going to do it, why is Korea an exception?

well, in this case, korea falls under east asia, and we usually get quite a bit of japanese stuff early and even some only japanese stuff, though it isn't usually ninty stuff. for example, the whole princess maker series is realesed here, and we get HDN games like a month after the japanese do. most PSN games get realesed soon after thier japanese realeses in east/southeast asia, like how NA is one reigion and europe is another, east asia is another reigion.
