Maybe. If you could explain why he can jump several times more higher than a regular human that will help. However Mario did come from New York. So he is probably a small human and only went through the warp pipes because he was small enough to in it.

So how in the world did he get to New York and stay there long enough to be a plumber? There is a game missing between Donkey Kong and Yoshi's Island. The Mario timeline is very confusing.

No need to complicate this. Its good to be a toon. Like in the movie Who framed Roger Rabit., is how he exists........ sounds good.

Im pretty sure that Yoshi's Island is suppose to replace the Ney York thing guys. One of gamings earliest reimaginings.
