Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Mario Odyssey: A more mature Mario?

Lol what the fuck?

Well...I guess it's only fair to consider nipples on a man as partial nudity as well xD. Equality!

Well, it depends what you mean by mature exactly. ESRB rates on content more than the themes.

Yeah, that's a good point.

Case in point :

Just to clear this up: They're not saying that Super Mario Odyssey has profanity or sexual content. Those are just examples of tags that get a game pushed up to B in the CERO scale.

Looking at the ESRB description, the game merely contains "Cartoon Violence" and "Comic Mischief".

And the original game was actually rated E, as there was no E10 rating at the time.

To be fair, so was Ocarina of Time, despite some rather graphic stuff in that game (Dead Hand and Ganon spitting blood).

Snatcher is rated T, and shows a decapitated head.

It's due to Mario being shirtless for the first time. #FreetheNipple

The old Nintendo probably would have censored Mario chest.
What a fall from grace.

Hmmm. There might be hope yet. That's a good thing in my opinion.
