Outside launch month PS4 has been dominating the switch though worldwide........PS shipped 3.3 or so million while the Switch shipped 1.9 or so million (April-June for both). July was somewhat close in the US....but Europe offsets Japan+America

This is not gonna end well...

Playstation is gonna be the home console of choice for a few more years yet. It's whether it actually gets used or sits in the corner collecting dust like desktop PCs have for the past few years.

EA SEED is their new research division and streaming probably isn't going to be the future of gaming considering there's more complications involved with game streaming than other types of digitized content ... (Only makes sense for the occasional gamer to be streaming since there's a higher payoff for more 'invested' gamers to own a seperate system and copy of the game.)

Sony (as will Nintendo) will die at some point. I honestly expect Sony to be taken out by Nintendo. I tried my best to purposefully not troll Sony and have editted the OP to make it less inflammatory. Edit the title too if you think it needs to be changed but it's an honest opinion worded to be as least inflammatory as possible (while still getting the point across).

Pyro says some crazy things sometimes. While I think he has some decent facts I do think his whole message is well......crazy. 

I don't agree with like 90% of what he says. However I do see what his is trying to say.  Which is this. 

Nintendo's  plan to destroy Playstation is by making traditional consoles obsolete. Why buy a game on a home console when you can get it on a hybrid and play portable? Sure you take some graphical hits but it still could be a good idea. Eventually Sony will respond by making their own hybrid or they retreat to the upper markets where people think graphics are everything until they can't retreat anymore. When that happens only death will occur.  

If Sony does make a hybrid then now Sony is on Nintendo's turf. Nintendo will use their 1st party to gore Sony. It will be the DS vs PSP all over again. 

This is what I am getting from Pyro's message. I wouldn't call it far fetched. It could happen but then again anything could happen. Like I said Pyro says some crazy things.  However I still  mostly don't agree with Pyro's message in the OP.  Though I do agree that Nintendo is trying to destory Playstation and Sony is trying to kill Nintendo. How they plan to do it, is up in the air. 

All I know is that I can't wait for the PS5  to be revealed. We will have a console war unseen since the 16 bit days.  I won't have enough popcorn for those days. 

Has any of his predictons been correct??????? That's a question that needs an answer.

There will always be games that the Switch can't run compared to home consoles ... (In particular 30FPS titles on PS4/X1.)
