So, I assume that a lot of the licensed songs are cut out of these versions unfortunately.

Can anyone confirm this? That would be a bummer :(

I know some songs were removed from the Steam version of at least one of those games in an update. Yes, retroactively removed.

Got em for PS3 a couple years ago so won't be doing that, but I noticed San Andreas has aged the worst by far. The combat and world are just BAD now. I mean the world just feels empty and janky while the previous 2 were filled with stuff to do and it didn't take 5 hours to get across the map. I think the graphics got worse too.

I love GTA4, the russian songs are so cool. Nicko was a very interesting guy.

Same. I really liked GTA IV, and GTA 3 was my favorite of the 3 PS2 games. I have the collection too, and have only played GTA 3.

No, sir Cok. No.

Give San Andreas a chance. The beginning is slow but eventually you'll see why it's such a fun game and better than 3 and Vice (imo of course). It holds both light and dark aspects as a GTA game should do. GTA V forgets the darker moments and as a result you don't feel like anything is at stake other than "First to $100m wins!"

I hardly died a single time in GTAV's campaign and for me dying is part of (GTA) games in that it forces you to change and improve your strategy. I also didn't like to be forced to play as different characters. It'd be fine to be able to choose between different characters when starting the campaign but from there I want to immerse myself in the universe of only 1 character.

I dunno, lots of songs on the radio...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Greatest series ever

I'll give both San Andreas and Vice City another go at some point. My initial impression of both, way back when they first launched, was that they didn't feel the same in terms of how they controlled. Basically, I prefered the driving in GTA 3, and never played Vice or San Andreas nearly as much as GTA 3. Of course, this was a long time ago, so I'll be approaching Vice City and San Andreas now almost as entirely new experiences. It took a solid hour before I could even begin to enjoy GTA 3. I found most of it, especially the graphics, to be a shock to the system. Ended up really enjoying it again, and getting 100% for the first time along with the platinum trophy.

Got to tell you, I think these games, well, tal least GTA3, which is the one I am playing right now, are ridiculously hard if compared to modern games

MAybe, at 36, my reflexes changed too much, but some missions are almost impossible to me

Yeah, GTA 3 has some pretty difficult missions. More difficult overall than GTA 5 for sure. I mean, those Italians, even just one Italian, can shotgun insta-kill you while you're in your car. There's nothing like that in GTA 4 or 5.

I think a big part of that difficulty is the terrible aiming system though

True, not terrible, but certainly different. It is what it is, but it is not what I am used to. However, with creativity, I can pass most of the hard missions just by thinking outside the box

Have to admit when I got Vice City originally it really took a lot for me to get into it, then it just clicked, so much fun...then I took it very nearly to the end, I think I stopped nearly on the last mission, why I don't recall, but its probably about time to play again :)

If I recall I think San Andreas was similar, but again ended up being an amazing experience. Sometimes you just have to hold on for it to click.
