Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NBA 2K18 Switch vs. PS4 Pro vs. Xbox One S video comparison

Last-gen versions look terrible now, difference is immediately apparent when you look at the crowds. The Switch version feels like one those in-between releases that a lot of third parties promised on Wii U, such as Watch Dogs.

*snip*

Huh, cloth physics is present in last gen versions ...

Around the Network

So I've been playing it and, while I haven't played a Sim sports game in probably a decade (even got last year's version of this for free and haven't played it), there's definitely a lack of "fluidity" and some bizarre audio glitches.

Aside from that, it's everything I imagine the other versions are. I think it's missing some graphical gloss, too. The video cuts between versions so quickly but I feel like there are some degrades. I'm gonna download 2K17 on Xbox One to make sure. Not a one tob one but as close as I'm willing to fly until Digital Foundry says something.

List of graphical downgrades ...

Lower resolution reflections
Less folds in clothing (more coarse vertex skinning)
Lower resolution textures
Ambient occlusion mostly absent
More aliasing/pixel crawl
No depth of field
Simpler polygon meshes
Less pronounced specular highlights
No cloth physics

On top of all that, 30FPS too ...
