List of graphical downgrades ...

Lower resolution reflections
Less folds in clothing (more coarse vertex skinning)
Lower resolution textures
Ambient occlusion mostly absent
More aliasing/pixel crawl
No depth of field
Simpler polygon meshes
Less pronounced specular highlights
No cloth physics

On top of all that, 30FPS too ...

Yeah, but it's close enough and understandable at the same time. I would have preferred 60FPS, but seeing that it kind of struggles during cutscenes, well, that's kind of a stretch.

I find storage management to be more annoying. 5GB are required just for save data, and that must go to the system memory yes or yes, and given the console just has 32GB, well, that's a blow, especially if you get interested in future games that also demand big installations.

The eShop won't even let you buy the game unless you have an SD card with enough space already plugged into the Switch.

Switch version actually is holding quite good compared to PS4/XBS versions.

Amazed that playing this on a tablet anywhere can be compared with consoles 8x its size.

But that's not what the video compares, it's the docked version.

30fps is the biggest deal here, the rest isn't worth noting by comparison.

Though the crowd is particularly terrifying on the Switch version, I don't like being watched by faceless monsters.

Diminishing returns will be a pain in the ass for the big boys.

Nice to see this much compatability

They look remarkably close considering we're comparing consoles to a handheld device.

Considering the Switch version is the only portable one with local multiplayer on the go, it looks the best to me :)

Seriously though, aside from better lighting and textures during closeups on character models, there's no major discernible difference between the Switch version and the other two.

You're comparing the DOCKED version version, the handheld version is going to look even worse than it does now.

Whats up with the DOCKED switch only managing 30fps, even last gens's ps3 and xbox 360 managed 60fps with NBA 2k

Even on my phone I can pick out which version is the Switch - quite noticeable. Should look even more so on TV.

Portable won't look significantly different from docked, the assets will be the same.

Don't really care about the differences but don't care about the game either. To be honest I could probably accept huge downgrades on those graphics and still be happy. The crowd doesn't really add anything to the game. The only thing I wouldn't like is the downgrade from 60fps to 30fps because I often find sports games are where the need for the more responsive feel is beneficial. Looking at these past games I'd be happy to play a SNES basketball game and by the time it gets the original xbox I'm more than happy with those graphics. 360 graphics actually look really nice.

It's almost like a genre that doesn't need the current console power level. Definitely seems like diminishing returns with pretty much a past version of the game offering almost the same content and playability. The other thing I'd add is the controller. Sometimes that can make the difference and this looks like the sort of game that wouldn't play as well with a joycon or joycons for a long game. With even very old basketball games offering 60fps playability I'd rather they lowered the graphics further of the Switch and kept to 60fps like the 360, PS3 etc.

I much prefer the 60 frames with a quality drop than the 30 and visual boost.
