Forums - Sony Discussion - About to buy a PSVita

So yeah, just wanted to let it be known. I plan to get a few good games such as Persona 4 obviously and Soul Sacrifice to start, but honestly the main reason I am going to get it is because I'm spoiled by my Switch. I mainly want one so I can play my PS4 games on the handheld, yeah I can't take my PS4 games anywhere but half the time even when I'm playing my Switch, it's in my living room with the TV, but I'm in handheld mode.

And for anyone who knows me at all, (when I used to be more active on this site) knows that I mainly play JRPG's. I really don't care about Sony's first party support. The only first party game I was interested in was Gravity Rush, but they remastered that on the PS4.

But yeah, I'm gonna get it for about $60-$80 cause someone I know just wants to get rid of it. (In comparison, Gamestop is offering $60 and selling them for about $140 right now) so it's kind of a steal.

Other games I have on my list are Mind Zero, Tales of Hearts, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy and Freedom Wars. Any Vita exclusives you guys recommend? If it's on the PS4, I most likely already know of or own it. (Like Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth)

Recommend me exclusives that are RPG's, Third person shooters. Honestly really anything that is not a first person shooter.

Congrats on your purchase!!! If you want some recommendations, I think you should post in the PS Vita thread, or at least ask Kresnik. He's definitely the guy who can hook you up with good Vita suggestions!

Good thing I'm getting both of those. Although I do have Persona 4 already on my PS2. I just love Atlus that much that I'm gonna buy Golden as well.

I liked Demon Gaze quite a bit.

- "If you have the heart of a true winner, you can always get more pissed off than some other asshole."

Undertale, Trails of Cold Steel, Trails of Cold Steel II, Ys VIII, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Disgaea 3, Disgaea 4, Odin Sphere, Muramasa the Demon Blade, Persona 4, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X.

Also, I recommend picking up a 3DS if you like handheld JRPGs. Bravely Default, Bravely Second, Shin Megami Tensei IV, SMTIV: Apocalypse, Persona Q, Etrian Odyssey IV, Etrain Odyssey II, Etrian Odyssey V (Demo out today!), SMT: Devil Survivor, SMT: Devil Survivor 2, Radiant Historia, SMT: Strange Journey, The World Ends With You, Poke'mon X, Pokemon Sun, Final Fantasy IV remake, Dragon Quest VI: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest IX.

Edit: Oh I see you already have a 3DS. Good. Keeping the list though, because you might find some hidden gems.

It's a nice handheld, but tbh, now that the Switch is out, it's not worth it... I mean, the thing about the Vita was, with the first model specially, the beauty of its screen... Now the Switch has a 720p screen, and much more power. The Vita still looks good, specially the OLED but... If you already have a PS4, you won't find more than 5 or 6 games worth playing...
