The contrary is in the very sentence you quoted.

Like Aura said, the DS and Wii sold "rather well" in the UK.

It is not like the UK is Anti-Nintendo.

We shouldnt judge the territories going by the Wii U numbers, which sold poorly across the globe.

The contrary exist solely in Goodnightmoon's mind.

This is actually a great news for Nintendo, the bad angle is being presented by him.

Dude just stop, I was only saying that for UK standars this is great news, period. Wii did fine, but that's the exception there, usually UK is not a big fan of Nintendo consoles, nothing wrong with that, is just how it is.

Yes, that's exactly what I said.

Since Switch launched, VGC has it ahead in France 349k v 259k.

Germany is 358k for PS4 and 303k for Switch.

UK is 356k for PS4 and >322k* for Switch, assuming the XB1 numbers are correct (*Switch>XB1 YTD).

Not sure that's domination except maybe in France.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

You forgot US. Its a tie between the two currently (especially when you use the word "dominating")

That's interesting.
I take it NS is not ahead of Xbox One in the US for the year?
Would be interesting to compare to see how different the UK market is for Xbox compared to US.

No. Switch is ahead. It's not even close.

Switch is ahead of the Xbox One in the USA in 2017. Through July it's along the lines of 2m for PS4, 1.8m for Switch and 1.4m for Xbox One. Going off memory, but Switch is definitely second.

You're right about PS4 and Switch, but, according to the NPD data, Xbox One has sold 1.1 million at most as of July.

Key Word: UK

One of the worst markets for Nintendo, this is pretty great anyways.

The DS and Wii sold rather well in the UK, though, especially the former.

I think the wii sold well everywhere and is more the exception rather than the rule. It did seem like the wii had a more rapid decline in the UK compared to some markets though. When I was mentioning discounted wii console prices years ago in the UK I seem to remember the prices were still much higher in the US and Canada. There also seemed a huge oversupply of secondhand wii consoles with prices dipping to incredibly low levels that you just didn't see for ps3 and 360. When the wii mini came out you could buy about 3 higher spec secondhand wii's for the same money. Secondhand shops were saturated with them.

I don't think they have supply issues there anymore.
