I am using it and it works fine. I have an extra TB in my PS4, but I still have some space on my external drive. It is 1TB in size.

I agree this is fine too but I feel like by using the external drive, I am preserving the TB internal drive in mine longer even though I don't really know how accurate that statement I just made is.  Do you think using internal drives extend the life of your internal drives?

Nope. Not like I'm dead set against using an external HDD, just don't need to.

Well, has your opinion changed? I'm currently rocking 4TB of storage (2 in, 2 out) and it feels pretty sweet. Pretty pretty sweet.

Never used buddy. Nice to see you´re still using your PSVR gear.

I'm using a 5TB external HDD, i love it, i'm finally able to get more giant complete edition PS4 games without annoying re-download or reinstall over again.

Went through a little phase where it wasn't being used. I even forgot how to connect it! I'm back in love with it now, though.

And in a bit of genius design, the ridges in the PS4 actually hides the cable. Out of sight, out of mind.

1TB but it's not nearly enough. I am still managing space. Doesn't help I have like 40 games for it.

Nah. I have a 2TB internal and that's plenty.

Yes I do!! I have a 2TB external hard drive that I use, because the 500GB that my PS4 came with just wasn't enough at all.

Not yet, but I probably will eventually. I only have Uncharted 4, FFXV and HZD for my PS4 right now and that's not enough to exceed the internal capacity that I have (I think 500GB).
