Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Monster Hunter XX for Switch ships over 300,000 copies in Asia (estimate by Ace Sec)

hm... shipped differs from sold, so makes sense.

According to Ace Securities, Monster Hunter XX for Switch has shipped over 300,000 copies across Asia.

The download ratio is said to be high in Japan. Also, Capcom shipped more than 200,000 units in Japan alone.

Media Create’s last official figure through September 3 is just over 110,000 copies. However, that number does not account for eShop sales.

Its still a dissapointing number, even all things considered.I mean, somewhat expected, but still dissapointing.Hopefully Capcom gets its head put of its ass and make an actual effort and make a new original MH for the Switch.Or you know, just make what it should have made from the start and port World to the Switch at the same time as the other versions.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well the number is shipped, not sold. Usually that distinction isnt important to make but considering it only sold like 80k first week, it is. It's at 111k in 2 weeks, so it will probably take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks just to sell 200k physical in Japan. All things considered, a flop

very solid start. nice to see

These aren't official figures provided by Capcom, so you should adjust the thread title to an estimate by Ace Securities.

Done!

How on Earth is that dissapointing? Capcom has sold this game twice already: the original 3DS vesion, its 3DS upgrade and now the Switch upscaling. How many times do they think people are going to buy the same game in such a short amount of time?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

It did decent. It is an enhanced port of a port that everyone bought 6 months ago. What they need to do is bring it to the west. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold better in the West than in Japan.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Whatever numbers means that Capcom will stop pussyfooting (is that the right term?) around the Switch is all I care to see.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Which is great considering this is a remake of a remaster. This probably means the next MH on Switch will be a new title instead of another port/remaster.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I wouldn't say it's great. Rather i'd say it's poor sales are deserved.
