So, I live in south Florida, about an hour and a half North of Miami,about 3 hours south of Orlando. While it's gonna be a Category 3 when it reaches south Florida Sunday, I know plenty of people evacuating. School is also already cancelled (in Palm Beach County at least, don't know about the rest of Florida.

So, just out of curiosity, who else lives in area that will get impacted by Hurricane Irma? What are you doing to prepare?

I heard Puerto Ricans got it really rough. Hope they make a speedy recovery. Also, is this thread redundant if there's already one about Irma?

I'm in Broward County. I'm a teacher enjoying my first day off because of the storm Might as well enjoy the good things about this event.

I live in South East Georgia. Every hurricane that comes along, my local media loses their shit. People buy up all of the supplies in grocery stores and make a run for the gas stations. We get rain and some wind. Maybe a power outage for a day or so. Then everybody tries to sell their newly purchased power generator online.

It's already begun. Gas stations are out of gas. Grocery stores are out of water. The weather reporters are saying it's the end of the world. I don't think it'll be that bad, though. It never is.

Every one stay safe. These storms aren't to be trifled with.

I dont live nowhere near it, but my family owns a house in Miami, so Im kinda worried.At least it will lose some strenght by the time it hits florida.I pray for whoever is stuck there.Must suck to be in that situation.
