Another tip, if you want to earn bonus cool points, make a post/thread about how awesome bears are. Just a suggestion

Or better yet, make a thread about something controversial . For example, "Bears sucks" or something similar :P

Around the Network

I created an account just so I can make a thread but apparently you need 50 posts to do so. Perhaps, I'm not dedicated enough to post because it is taking me too long to reach that. In any case, I only like to lurk and read & laugh at the stupid comments/posts. It's a soap opera of the fanatics.

You will get there, just keep at it.

A thread like this would make more sense 10 years ago, unless you're trying to get kids to join. I'm not saying this thread is useless, but I don't think the reason people aren't joining this site is because they're new to forums, rather they're not joining because of something about the site. What that is exactly is hard to say without knowing the people who aren't joining, though I'm sure the lack of a mobile site for convenience isn't helping. I will say that I've had my fair share of reasons to leave this site (though I'm still here anyway for some reason), and I wonder if seeing such incidents have turned people away.

Really.
Hmm...

We are getting upgrades now; there is hope now.
