To existing members:
We all know we have a member issue, there is just too few of here: we need to attract some fresh meat.
When thinking about how we can do this I came up with a few ideas, and this thread is my step in working towards my goal of gaining new members.
Note to self: don't use the term "fresh meat" to refer to new members.

To any and all lurkers:
Firstly I want so state that you do not need to have this "I am new here" thread, you are able to slip in at any time.
It has been nearly a year since I joined and I am yet to formally introduce myself, so it is possible.

You do not need to have something super profound to say, sometimes you may just want to shout into a void, and that is okay; trying to move the discussion forward will probably go a long way though.

Don't be afraid of having your thread flop, it happens to the best of us and you will rebound, if you keep at it.

To add a poll: tick the "Add a poll" box then click submit, you will be able to add the questions on the next page.

So, yeah that is about if for me, for now.
If anyone wants to add anything or introduce yourself.

Yeah, my thread was meant to get people out of lurking. A few people did do so, but hopefully this thread will encourage more people!!

Yeah, I took a fair bit of inspiration from your thread.
My major hope is that the new members stay away from the political threads, and manage to stick around.

In any case, Raven, Ryuu and I would love having newcomers help us with our respective threads!! I haven't set up any tournaments/events yet, and I know Raven wanted people to help him with that as well!! So guys, if you're a PlayStation, Nintendo or Xbox fan who likes to organize/participate in things like that, you may find yourself a home here!! We'd also love your contributions.

-Don't go into the Politics threads thinking you can change someone's mind. Most people there are so blinded by the side they are on that they refuse to see the flaws of their own narratives.

-Make friends. People are much more friendlier than you think.

-Scour the news if you want an idea for a thread

-Don't worry about your english. Even some native English speakers can't speak it correctly either.

-Don't worry if your opinion seems to be the only one of its kind. It is better to have more variety in opinions than to have an echo chamber.

-Don't only have negative opinions on one company. People will notice it and start disliking you.
