hi, I'm only considering for the moment to buy a ps3. Can you guys suggest me some good games on from old ips (16bits era) for a retro gaming enthusiast looking to expand his relationship with old series?

-Sonic 4 episodes 1&2 (evident one)

There are a lot of PS1 classics on PS3, if you don't already own a PS1 or PS2. That includes Street Fighter, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Mega Man, etc.

You can get all the original Metal Gear games, with Metal Gear Solid Legacy collection.

Ps1 is that ugly grey thing that's killed the Saturn?

Strider. Import the Japanese physical version (no worries it's all in English) and it comes with both the Arcade version and Strider 2. You get 3 games in one. Strider 2014 is a great game. Can just get it on PSN as well.

Zone of the Enders HD..ok so a little newer as it's PS2 era.

3D Dot Game Heroes isn't an IP revival but a total homage to classic 8 bit Zelda like games.

Wipeout HD is a remake of the 32-bit era racing game.

If you want to stretch it, Metal Gear Rising. I mean Metal Gear goes back to MSX in the 80s.

Double Dragon Neo. Fantastic reboot to the series with an amazing OST. Tough as balls tho.

Dragon's Crown is a spiritual successor to Dungeon's & Dragon's Tower of Doom.

You can also get Dungeon's & Dragon's Mystara which is both Tower of Doom and Mystara in one package. There is a Physical version in Asia but not in English.

Jojo Bizzare Adventure. Old Manga series but been games since the Dreamcast. There is an HD version of the DC game on PS3 and the newer game.

Darkstalkers HD

Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed. Think of it as a reboot of Sonic Drift.

Mortal Kombat 9 Is a reboot of the series. It's like they combined MK 1-3 in one new game.

Virtua Fighter 5

Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

Raiden IV. Since the Raiden series goes back so Arcades in the 80s. Shmup. If you are afraid to play. You can set it to easy or practice mode. Technically even on hard, you can't fail unless you really want a high score. That's all you lose. Great game tho.

DMC 4 as a great 4th Entry.

King of Fighters XIII (skip 12,it sucks)

Sonic Generations as next to Sonic Colors it's a pretty good Sonic game and nostalgia heavy.

SEGA Rally Revo. The last in the SEGA Rally series.

Jet Set Radio HD

Daytona USA HD Port of the arcade classic.
