Last year one or two weaks before Sony announced the PS4 slim and PS4 Pro, the retailer Media Markt and some other retailers in Germany sold 2 PS4 for 400-450€.

Now Media Markt sells 2 PS4 Pro for 598€

2017 would be a power move, that could hurt the xbox one x.

A slimmer more power effecient & quiet, PS4pro slim, thats also 50$ cheaper than current model.

PS4pro slim for 349$ vs Xbox One X for 499$.

Thats a huge differnce in price, would probably be enough to fight off the x.

There is still a lot of space for reduction in both Slim and PS4Pro, So it can sure happen, although I believe they would better invest in a even slimmer PS4 base and just cut PS4Pro 50usd at this time and leave PS4ProSlim for 2018.

I certainly hope so. My road to the Pro has been rocky. Had on pre-ordered on launch day, but life got in the way, and I never got it. Months rolled by, and now I'm waiting on a price drop. I hate buying something right before a drop in price. Should probably just say fuck it and go get one today.

I can believe it, it wouldn't take a crazy amount of rework to redesign it into a Slim version. Plus, I imagine that consumers would like it a lot more than what it is now =p

It'd be surprising to see a revision so soon, but the Pro could do with a smaller model. It's never going to be as small as the X1X, that's has the advantage of some arguably pretty overkill cooling (which i expect was chosen because the middle ground alternatives weren't worth it), but it should be a bit less chunky than it currently is.

I disagree, the big mac is one of the most popular food products in the world. We should be basing more electronics on it tbh.
