Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump has decided to end DACA

They shouldn't have ever been given work visas in that situation in the first place. They're more than welcome to become a citizen or live in the US legally.

Don't celebrate until the six months are up. Trump could very well be using DACA as a bargaining tool (a poor idea imo, given the people he's dealing with), or be baiting Ds and Rs alike to show their colours ahead of the Midterms (he doesn't need to do this ffs).

In any case, some of his advisers and allies in Congress wanted him to do this immediately (which I agree with in a roundabout way - introducing uncertainty is a pretty effective way to reduce confidence in the business environment of any given country; either go do it or don't!), and he didn't listen to them.

Because Fox News has a justified reputation of constantly lying and being in the pocket of far right organizations? Fox News has a lot to win by scaring people over refugees. It ties perfectly into their own agenda of refugees and immigrants to the US. It's the perfect piece by showing how terrible it is in other countries. You should really educate yourself about Fox News. It's a cess pool of lies and fear mongering. I trust fucking Breitbart over Fox News.

When you claim yourself to be a news organization and 60% of your shit is mostly or completely false you should not be trusted with anything.

I have read the article and it's mostly lies, exaggeration and information completely out of context specifically designed to scare people. As usual from Fox News. They blow everything out of proportion. And the article also offers no solution for this "problem". They quote multiple random organizations or people and claim those have any kind of authority on the matter. Of course the article sounds convincing if you don't know the actual situation. That's what propaganda is designed to do.

Here is a fact for you. Nobody in Germany likes being swarmed by immigrants but still the majority recognizes that there is no point in stopping them and that accepting them here has overall no significant downsides. Germany isn't North Korea and Germany does not want to become North Korea by completely isolating itself.

The current situation in Germany despite hundreds of thousands of new immigrants and recent terror attacks is absolutely relaxed. An influx of immigrants is simply no concern for the vast majority of Germans. We had that for decades. It's a strong country with strong security and the lack of significant terror attacks despite a significant amount of immigrants shows this. But that of course is something Fox News or any other garbage right wing propaganda piece won't tell.

Why should I worry about a thing that I and the majority of my countrymen don't worry about?

Everyone has an agenda vivster. I prefer to aproach all news outlets, not with a definitive yes or not, but with a maybe.

Then you should get more sources. I don't see a reason to even go to a news site that has unsourced claims and a history of lies and an obvious political bias when there are so many better alternatives.

So now that you approached Fox News with a "maybe" and got presented with evidence that Fox News is full of shit. What is your future approach? Because usually people change their view when presented with new information that contradicts theirs. Rational people that is.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

This is all Obama's fault for not finding a long term solution. Seriously fuck you Obama.

One sided socialistic bullshit like this make us feel like an idiot for following the system and waiting 10 years for our petition to bear fruit.

You want to blame someone then blame Obama. He never had the legitimate authority to enact it and he knew it. If he wanted this done he should have gone through Congress like Paul Ryan is working on right now. Trump made the correct choice.

Good. Find a better way and follow the law.

So how is this helping anyone? Children lose opportunities, USA loses workforce, racists win?

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Pretty sure that Trump is not killing the DACA, he is just not renewing it. Slight difference. It was an executive order by Obama, with a time limit placed on it. Lot's of presidents do stuff like that. They do something super helpful to themselves and have it expire for the next president.

Trump is not renewing the executive order and making Congress vote on it, thus making it a law or not.

Which should be the way it is done. I am not a fan of executive orders.

I was once one of those children. Sucks because they did not chose that life. America was kind to me and I intend to continue to pay the country back until I die. Sad to hear other people will not be granted the same opportunities I was granted.

Seriously. Kids just want to be safe and enjoy life :/

Can you not?

Holy shit. Why is it always racist when it comes this thing. They came here illegally. Why didn't Obama find away to Naturalize them and make better program for handling these matters instead of enabling illegal immigrants into coming here and conceiving birth or bringing their child here.

You know that America is butt fucked derranged when we have people thinking this is "unconstitutional".

IN BEFORE THERE WAS NO AMERICA NOR AMERICANS TO BEGIN WITH.

Everyone wants that. But you have to follow the procedures. It's not their fault but we need to stop enabling the dumb parents for abusing such.

Those who are waiting in line, what makes them less privilleged to get here than those "Dreamers"?

I mean for fuck's sakes. My mother left us in 2006.  My father and I waited for years to properly enter. Sadly though, he died of cancer before we even got approved. I was the only one that got in.

Can someone tell me with a fucking straight face now that I am less privilleged. That I am expected to follow the system while others have complete disregard of it and are given special treatment.

We missed a lot of years of potential Christmas celebrations with our family members. I didn't have a god damn last christmas nor a fucking conversation with my cousin before he comitted suicide. My father did not make it to recieve treatment for his cancer because the dates weren't current.  Seriously where's our fucking rights then? Am I lesser compared to them? Is this not injustice?

Before someone fights for their rights, will no one fight for mine? A legal immigrant who followed the system and went through hell equally as worse as the other?

Any special treatment given to them makes me feel robbed. And nobody can give me back those 10 years. The only peace I can get from this is to have such enabling laws that entice illegals to come in and be previlleged while they enjoy welfare bullshit that us legal residents and taxpayers shoulder be addressed. WE FUCKING NEED REFORM AND CALIFORNIA NEEDS TO BE FOCUSED ON.
