So, as everyone should know, the key to a successfull forum is a lively community. Now, VGChartz obviously has some of that, but I feel that we could do even better!! Now, why did this even come up in my mind? I saw the bottom say that there are over 1,300 people online here right now, of which 81 are members. So, in other words, the vast majority of people who check out this site aren't logged in/don't have an account. Now, I'd say that is definitely to be expected, but now I'm curious as to how many of those are people who just check the site for a short time and then leave, and how many of them are lurkers who just haven't made an account yet to join in the forums. So, maybe reading this thread, one of you lurkers will be inclined to create an account and join the conversation Or maybe you're just a shy fellow who is worried about joining, or maybe you just like analyzing us and actually participating is something that you're not interested in! In any case, I guess if you hadn't made an account yet, this thread probably won't convince you to do so. So, now switching my focus to the members here, how do you think we could convince more people to join? Is it something that we should even attempt? Or is it something that we should just see as "if it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it doesn't"? I guess I like befriending new people, so I'd like to see some new faces.

1) better/more consistent software/hardware tracking. Most people here were pulled in from the numbers.

2) revamp the spam/ads so that they aren't so fucking intrusive and website breaking on mobile.

1. Ban the problem children. We all know who they are. I'm not talking about the ones who simply disagree, but the ones who like an make alts.

2. Fix the ad situation. Super intrusive ads that often lead to phishing sites gives the site an air of... Well, shadiness.

3. Regular updates on hardware numbers. It's kind of important.

4. More emphasis on articles, and writers who actually write. If we have more content, it could bring in people for gaming news.

I know I tried to get 2 people to sign up but they never got confirmation e-mails so fixing that would be a big plus :P

Reputable members from bigger organizations, Better tracking or features, better coded website.
Honestly, for some unknown reason, vgchartz drains my battery faster than any app on my phone.

Also advertising would help. Get mentioned in gaming articles in a positive way.

1. Fix the numbers once and for all. The traffic dropped like a rock back in 2015 when we stopped getting numbers as often.

2. Bring in the new design, including mobile design. I guess Trucks could use some help in that regard.

3. Bring in new and old features. Looking at you, Game DB.

Spend actual time and effort on the site, have the forums come alive with discussions on actual numbers actually coming in weekly.
