I agree that 4K-TVs are for morons. The feature a 4K-tv has, that I would like to have in my 1080p-TV, is 10-bit pixel depth (of course after the industry settle for a standard for this).

Heck with my viewing distance there is no real difference between 720p and 1080p.

Well, in a 32-inch TV I can totally see the difference between 720p and 1080p (But I cannot see it on my 22-inch monitor).

And I ve seen a couple of 55-inches 4K TVs and I can tell you that the difference between 1080p and 4K is even bigger.

At what distance, for both of your starements?

And in the 4K case are you shure it's not the added colourdepth?

I still don't get why so many people are obsessed with resolution.

Part of the reason X1X sounds great is because its not just a resolution upgrade.

Overall improved graphics and performance.

Like I said. The closer to launch the more these guys will try to trash and stop the momentum the X has going. More to come

4K is great on 50" and larger displays the difference is truely amazing, also when on close like with PC monitors 27" and up is also a huge benefit.

4k is amazing and the XBox one X sales are made out better to be then they are for sure. But pachter is trying to make 4k be a second run of 3d on televisions, but its not, because higher pixelcount is always better and it has no real disadvantages.

The Ps4 Pro and Xbox One X are WORTH it for people who play a lot of games and NOT WORTH IT for people who are on a tight budget or don't play a ton of games, simple.

But 4k Televisions are always worth it when buying a television since its just a sharper experience when streaming, watching or playing content in higher resolutions and the fact the difference is even noticable on 1080p screens (look at some ps4 pro games) just makes you realize how much bigger the difference would be if you would nativly have a higher pixelcount screen.

Pachter is an idiot.

I own a 4K HDR TV and I love it although more because of the HDR than the 4K. But I think it's defenitly worth for games and movies. Also Netflix is better in 4K.
