I know. But alot of the classics like E.T. were shot of film and when done right, really take advantage. I wouldn't even bother with newer movies until they use better cameras.

Seriously, 1080p TVs were being sold waaaay before the cable companies started providing HD content for it.  Now, were the people who bought them early morons?

Well, in a 32-inch TV I can totally see the difference between 720p and 1080p (But I cannot see it on my 22-inch monitor).

And I ve seen a couple of 55-inches 4K TVs and I can tell you that the difference between 1080p and 4K is even bigger.

* 4k Televisions are for Intelligent people as you are future proofed for years to come.

I am not rushing out to get a 4k TV, however I expect in sales this year I probably will get one post xmas. That said who gives a shit about 4k signal, I can't remember the last time I watched something broadcast by one of the TV stations. Digital content is all I consume now and that isn't likely to change with 4k, will probably also get an XOneX after xmas to replace original Xone.
