Assuming this is even true, they'll be rushing out to get them as soon as they can. Still though, regardless of whether it's intentional on Nintendo's part, they need to cut this crap out. To manufacture so few, in their strongest market, shows their lack of confidence in their own product. They need to get their asses in gear, and start pumping them out. 5 months is way too long to still be having these issues.

Not in japan though. Was in ottawa canada.

 I've heard they've been readilly available in most countries for awhile now; just Japan and US are the main places where they're still hard to find.
