It depends if that bundle includes the price of the game

With the current stock situation people will pay for an game they don't want just to get to a Switch.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. It wouldn't make sense to do a 300$ bundle with a game. Nintendo should be evil minded and get 1-2 switch as the 3rd most shipped version of the console for 350$ with a dedicated bundle across all regions(behind the color set and the grey sets for 300$)

Right, MHX was an alternative take with many recycled monsters. Then came MHXX (double cross), that was an enhanced version. And that was ported to Switch. Interesting to see, that afterall MHXX isn't that far behind MH3U WiiU, that afterall was an enhanced version YEARS after the original. But majority of MH3U (or 3G) sales were on 3DS anyways.

I mean, Monster Hunter has been recycling monsters for a decade now, so there's nothing new there. The majority of MHX sales are on 3DS also ;)

Famitsu & Dengeki up. Timely this week!

Yeah, what I mean is, that the time elapsed between Tri and 3G was a lot bigger than the one between MHX and MHXX. Insofar it's not too bad, not too far behind the WiiU version. And thanks for the numbers, this WiiU-port is actually the most comparable in what it represents.

Still bad sales. I want to see how well a new MonHun goes on the Switch. I assume great, but I could be wrong.

FAnd here comes the disparity yet again.Famitsu states that the Switch sold 85k units.
Gonna stick with Media Create, but overall good news for Switch.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

if Famitsu and Dengeki both put the Switch at 80+ doesn't that make Media Create's # the outlier and more likely to be off? I mean 10k+ is a decent disparity

I can guarantee a Monster Hunter 5 or Monster Hunter Portable 4th would sell absolutely loads on Switch, no question, and XX isn't really a precursor to anything.

What I will say is that I think Monster Hunter's selling power in Japan has decreased over the past few years and I don't think it's ever going to reach the heights of the PSP days again. Hence why I think they're taking a gamble on the west with MHW.

Hard to tell, I always though MC was the most accurate of the three.

Hard to say.But since MC is considered the most accurate(isnt it?), Ill just take its number over others.
