Forums - Gaming Discussion - EDGE ranks the top 100 greatest games (2017 edition)

I dunno, I think it's aged really well! I played it for the first time in 2012 (a year after Human Revolution launched) and it shot to the top of my list.

I consider it the best PC game ever made. Its absence from this list is damning, in my eyes.

I like you.

Edge are too stupid to work a computer, that's why there are no PC games on their list.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Any list from a serious publication that doesn't include Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn is a pretty silly list of the "greatest videogames of all time".

Boo stares at them in disappointment. So does Minsc.

Not either Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 Arena

rubbush....

No Pokemon? Absolutely disgusting

It's because Pokémon games were never really good and people just like them because of nostalgia. I mean, you can't possibly think even the better Pokémon games stand up to something as masterful as OutRun 2006: Coast to Coast, right?

Guess you're right. It's just a stupid fad that'll die out next year...

Well that's a big fat load of trying not to offend anyone too much while also avoiding alienating the current 15-25 demographic.

TBF, there are much more than 100 games that any 'best games of all time' list would be 'rubbish' without.

I'm not bothered by the exclusion of Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6, even though both belong. What I am bothered by is the inclusion of Final Fantasy 12 instead of them. The same with games like Destiny.

Breath Of the Wild is where it deserves to be imo
