Switch will probably receive Fifa 19, Fifa 20...so sales of Fifa 18 will stop, while Skyrim will keep selling in following years also.

I'll stop this comparison on the date of FIFA 19's release. If it releases, obviously. Knowing EA, they could just ignore the platform as they did with the U and the 3DS, around a million with FIFA is not really up to their standards.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Wii U didn't get letter games from obvious reasons, it was failed console and all 3rd party left Wii U in its first year, 3DS was just a handheld, Switch is in same time home console and it's actually more successful than 3DS. Why do you think Fifa had around 10 Fifa games? Fifa for Switch also getting World Cup expansion, I would very suprised if Switch dont recive Fifa 19.

There were still major 3rd parties around for Wii U's 2nd Christmas.  EA jumped ship way before everyone else.

Wii U's 2nd Christmas was end of first and beginning of Wii Us second year on market. Wii U had launch at end of November 2012. but at end of 2013. most 3rd party left platform, you can easily see that buy comparing how much 3rd party games were released on Wii U from launch until end of 2013. and after 2013.

I was just pointing out that Ubisoft, Activision, and even Warner Bros put in the effort with their major franchises for 2 holidays.  EA didn't bother to do a follow up on Fifa or Madden.  Which was a real shame.  The Madden game had an incredible feature of being able to draw your own hot routes for your Receivers at the line of scrimmage.  Unfortunately, the knock against Madden 13 was that EA used the Madden 12 engine for the Wii U port.  Meanwhile, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions both got the new engine.  The funny part is, I haven't bought a Madden since.  I still play Madden 13 to this day on Wii U rather than buy the lastest edition for my Xbox One.  I would have bought Madden 14, Madden 25, etc. if they continued to release on Wii U.  But, EA's effort, unlike other major publishers, was a "one and done"; and they lost me as a customer on all platforms as a result.

By the way, there isn't even a Madden on Nintendo Switch yet.  And the Switch has been on the market for over a year.  Madden 19 has already been announced for PS4 and Xbox One.  No Switch announcement.  The Switch's most successful market is NA, and yet EA doesn't bother to release it's NFL game there?  Madden 18 sales are slumping by 1.5 million compared to Madden 17 (and that's without counting Madden 17 sales on Xbox360/PS3).  And yet, EA doesn't port it to Switch, or announce that the next annual release is coming.  All I can say is, good job EA.  Keep costing yourself sales.

Not to mention the whole Origin boycott fiasco. I doubt that, if they didn't have that agreement with FIFA that they have to make at leat one FIFA game for every platform that comes out, they would've bothered with it at all.

"2 Holidays" dont change nothing when Wii U was released during one holiday and second was at end of first year or begining of second year, I said most 3rd partys abandoned Wii U in its 1st year but accurate would be in its 1st 13-14 months on market. :)

For now EA release/announced only Fifa 18 from their hevi hitters, I expecting they will start announcing some other big IPs also.

Fifa 18 has done well in regard to fifa 13 on wii u. Below are the numbers for Fifa games on Nintendo systems.

Fifa 11 1,008,000 / Wii
Fifa 08 1,003,000 /Wii
Fifa 10 + Fifa 10 WC 980,000 + 420,000 / Wii
Fifa 09 890,000 / Wii
Fifa 18 760,000 / NSW
Fifa 12 760,000 /WII
Fifa 13 690,000 / Wii
Fifa 15 570,000 / Wii
Fifa 13 490,000 / Wii U
Fifa 14 420,000 / Wii

Every Fifa below this released for Consoles before Wii sold less than 200,000 according to vgchartz.

When all is said and done I reckon than the Switch version will finish above Fifa 2009 including the world cup dlc.

It’s a testament to the failure of the Wii U to see Wii’s Fifa 2015 outselling Wii U’s 2013.

It’s a shame Nintendo was so quick to abandon the Wii platform when it still had quite a lot of life left in it, and a lot more if they would have kept their marketing strategy, VC, and support for a few more years.

It is interesting to speculate how they’d have been if they skipped Wii U altogether and went from Wii to Switch. Perhaps a more feature packed Wii HD model in late 2010 to mid 2011 would have helped them maintain very high sales to bring the platform up to 150M similar to DSi.
