I greatly prefer the Rayman Origins treatment for old platformers. That game is still beautiful and can run on every platform imaginable. Handdrawn > Pixel art any day. Besides the Rayman Origins treatment isn't overtly expensive.

Yes, but would it be a remake of the first game, or a whole new one? The story kinda wrapped up at the end of Mega Man X8.

I know it's not an official game, but didn't the Brutal Doom mod kinda do the Sonic Mania thing for the original Doom?

I would rather have a new one, I have already played the hell out of the first one.
