Just read on SB nation that Conor only gets $30 million of his purse.

That's just his guaranteed cut.  Doesn't include the split from tickets and pay per view.  He will probably get close to 100 million once those are factored in.  Floyd was guaranteed 100 million but should make closer to 300 million.

These guys are more entertainers than true sportsmen. They smart enough to reliase money comes first for them before the too old and takig unnecassary risks.  Entertainment brings bums to seats also, so need to put on a show o the punters spend money.

So, in other words McGregor lasting ten rounds was all part of the script. Glad I'm not a fan of either of these sports. 

Well no the sport on it's own are good as general two trained in the field are fighting.

The difference here is they both from different sports and both want money.  Fllyod come out of retirement for this fight. He wouldn't have unless he had a lot to gain.

This poll shows how much a lot of people don't know about fighting and especially boxing all together and what shows it even more is people think he lasted 10 rounds good on him um yeah Maywheather was in control that whole fight. Honestly peoples reactions were more entertaining than the fight haha either way good on them they made their money people got a show can't really hate on it.

You're right. I expected Mayweaher to make more. So now all he needs is to fight until hes 35 and he will be the richest MMA fighter in history (unless he pulls another exhibition match).

Entertaining fight and mcgregor did himself proud. Made about 100m for the fight too. mayweather would have made close to 300m. Not bad for a guy on welfare 4 years ago. Congrats conor. Looking forward to your ufc return.

I made money from a co-worker. Easiest bet ever. Fight went exactly as expected. Well, I thought it would end a little earlier, but not by much.

Cards were released. Two of the judges had McGregor only winning the first round.
