Contoller would be fine for singleplayer games. But the pc games I'm interested in are games like endless space which don't have gamepad support. Shooters no cause I'd get wrecked by people on kb/mouse. I like the structure and ease of Xbox live and psn. There isn't any confusion either when it comes to upgrading. Pc versions have the inferior port most of the time.

 

amyway some of Microsoft's games are on steam. Ms also enabled crossplay between windows store and steam recently.



Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

People say you can use a controller on PC - not in MP games, unless you want to get destroyed.

I'm good with a keyboard. You're right though... people will get murdered. I used to be in a LAN party clan on counter strike when I was in the og Xbox era. This was before steam took off.

Yeah, I'd say that in the long run, there is a greater likelihood of change, towards this result. It's certainly more likely than not, but I can see why the debate continues; it's likely long enough in the future that it's hard to extrapolate so far with a significant degree of certainty. Maybe the whole gaming landscape will dramatically change in other ways before then too =o

if a game is good i prefer to hang onto it. maybe i will want to play it again at some point. but for right now i have the game, i dont need the money i would get from selling it. my reasoning is- if i could have the game on PC then it would eliminate the need for the console, but since it isnt on PC i will hang onto it so i can still play it

I play Battlefield 1 on PC with an Xbox One Controller and I'm quite regurlarly right at the top of the scoreboard.

As for the topic, you should just switch right now to PC. There simply won't be anymore Xbox exclusives. Microsoft is only making PC exclusives at this point, as seen with Age of Empires 4. Windows is just more important to them so it gets more support.

I wish they would bring Microsoft Office and every other Universal Windows Application to the Xbox, and re-brand it as Surface TV. I think a highly optimized PC direct from Microsoft would be awesome. They could also have a wider range of options, and price points, becuase they could reach a larger market.

I really have no interest in PC, but the idea of a $1500 Xbox/Surface TV is exactly what my wallet wants. Give me a super well engineered box, that is blazing fast, and whisper quite, and I will be a very profitable user. The XOX is a nice step in this direct, and I am glad to have one on pre-order. I just hope that it leads to even more powerful and well engineered boxes in the future.

As long as you're playing Halo 6 on a Windows 10 PC, then I think MS's initiative is working fine. Eitherway you're still in the MS ecosystem.

A lot of us will stick with consoles though because simplicity and the best online scene will likely be on X1. So at the very least I don't think it a bad idea to have a X1 handy given your purchases will work on both.

You dont will find halo 6 on pc because of the same reason age of empires 4 is not on xbox.

And the reason is it makes no sense!
