Forums - Microsoft Discussion - If Microsoft puts halo 6 on PC I'm switching to pc

It seems stupid as to the recent events of AoE IV being announced for PC, yet some Xbox gamers want that game, but in this case, if an Xbox game goes to PC then they go to PC, but if it wasn't released there they wouldn't go there at all. So does that mean PC should have nothing to make it attractive in the first place?.

I always saw MS as the company that gave us Windows, not the company that came first with Xbox. They started out on PC and shunned it for a while when they tried chasing that console slice of pie, now they are diddled on that end and have to come back to PC. Really they are going back to their roots by releasing their games on PC, there is no reason as to why they can't (outside of exclusivity contracts, which are stupid and anti consumer to begin with).

Just switch to PC and go with what you want.

I think Microsoft went back to PC because steam figured out how to centralize the market and make billions when they couldn't. They will fail there too. When I left PC steam was just starting and Xbox was taking PC exclusives over to console. Once they dipped their hand in the bioware and valve cookie jar I jumped ship. Counter strike didn't take off on console though. I was hooked on halo. Sony and steam have the answer to how you dominate a platform space and Microsoft is struggling to emulate both.

Congrats on your new PC.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

If MS put just Halo 6 on PC then they can go fuck themselves. They better bring the Master Chief Collection and 5 too, I want all my Halo in one place!

You speak the truth, brother.

Yeah.. seems like the writing is on the wall.

They are going to put it on PC. Even though I am an xbox fan, Microsoft would rather you be a windows pc customer than an xbox one x customer because Microsoft profits a lot more off of windows. I just don't like PC gaming personally, but would love to see a lot of PC games come to xbox one x.

If you are budget conscious why wouldn't you simply play it on the xbox one x for a much better than standard console experience? For the same level of experience wouldn't a PC rig cost significantly more?

THey will fail at trying to compete with steam but they can try. With that said, it will open up other opportunities. You cannot bring PC gamers over on consoles unless they favor consoles and the only reason PC gamers buy console is because they are gamers who don't want to miss out on exclusives. Xbox got me to come over to consoles cause they took the key PC games I was playing to console during the og Xbox era.Windows live failed then because they didn't realize PC gamers wouldn't pay for it. As I said back in 2008 console gamers will foot the bill for Xbox live on PC in the future and steam just gave them the blue print to succeed. The problem is that steam revitalized PC when Microsoft abandoned them. Now Microsoft is pulling a full 180 and can't even mask it because they have little to no exclusives. It's a sad ovcurance because just like the zune they will fail. I'll get my gears and halo fix though.

The cost of paying for discounted games year  would offset upgrading parts on a PC. Even though I buy a lot of games on sale on Xbox they would be even cheaper on PC.

PC is great! I remember a time when it was more of a hassle but troubleshooting the issues helped me learn about computers. My current PC was already mid range back in 2011 with an i5 2500k and a gtx 560. Just slapped an rx480 in it a few months ago and it's good for the next little bit. Could use a bit more RAM and a new cpu but I don't need the latest and greatest.

The Xbox x is going to be a beast but I'm glad Microsoft is still investigating in PC gaming again at the same time, giving people like me options.

My PS4 is still my primary gaming device but having an opportunity to play games I otherwise couldn't have is awesome.

1st Problem is not everyone is a pc gamer. 99% of games are on all systems (ps4, xbox one and pc) and yet the games still sell just as well if not better most of the time on consoles. Consoles are a lot more convenient. Second, you're still giving money to Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't care how you get their games or services, as long as you do on xbox or pc. Microsoft doesn't make a lot of money selling harware, in fact no one does. They make money off of accessories, services, games, ect.
