Well it's selling like crazy in the UK, any word on how it's doing in Europe? Seems odd that it'd be selling out in the UK but isn't doing well at all in the rest of Europe. But then again, it is more expensive in Europe.

 I agree with you but in his defense, 1 million of those Wii Fits were sold in 2007.  Japan should sell 1 million+, 3-4 million in NA, and 2-3 million in Europe this year.  I'm thinking 6-9 million in 08.  Depending on how many developers support it and how soon Nintendo drops the price ($20 in Jan 09 would be best), WW LT sales could reach 20 million.

I reckon this game will beat SSBB and Mario Kart in sales.

a) u have the 'let alone' backwards...the harder thing to do comes after 'let alone'...so it should be "i doubt this will sell more than 5mil ww ltd let alone in 2008"

b) it's already sold over 900k in 2008 in one country...it'll hit 5mil by mid-year and then still have 6 months left to go to increase that number

a) japan has already sold 914k (40k/week) this year, so how bold of u to predict something that will come true in roughly 2-3 weeks!

b) lol @ $20 in jan 09...this thing will be decently hard to find for at least a year...no price cuts until fall 09 at the earliest...and even then just a $10-20 drop, not a $70 drop

Wii Fit attach rate in Japan is 31.5% and climbing. Given the longevity of similar titles and the fact that such a massive attach rate is sure to draw more software for the balance board, I don't expect this number to drop below 25% for the lifetime of the platform.

And I think that 25% attach rate is achievable world wide. Consider that the Wii is expected to have a LTD of 40-50 million units by the end of '08. I think that the only reason Wii Fit might not sell 10 million units by the end of '08 is because I don't think Nintendo can make them that fast.

I'll admit, this is an optimistic prediction. ;)

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Casual games are very successful in Europe, especially when they're developed by Nintendo. Just look at Nintendogs, soon it will overtake Pokemon red/blue to become the most succesful game of all time in Others.
