Forums - Movies & TV - Dissected & Eviscerated: an in depth Ghostbusters 2016 review (RedLetterMedia)

After a long wait RedLetterMedia released their review for Ghostbusters 2016.

Criticism has nothing to do with an all-chicks cast and mysoginy, the movie dissected and eviscerated by RedLetterMedia and they don't disappoint here with this GB review either.

The exact same movie would've still been better with the original cast.

It would be hard to explain how can one of the guys fart off his dick though.

How does one get attention? Review a year old movie that everyone has ALREADY torn apart for a year and a half!

I watched some bootleg version on youtube, it was a milk-toast corporate product made by a board of humor-delegates.

Red Letter doesn't need attention. They also reviewed the movie when it came out on the Half in the bag show. Mr Plinkett reviews are meant for in depth reviews of movies. Which is why mike's only done around 20+ films as Plinkett.

It's true sir, this movie has no dick.

Ok In truth I never watched it. I don't care who the cast was, male, female or maybe a bunch of cats I don't care. Just from the trailers the jokes looked awful and I am pretty sour on remakes, to begin with so I just didn't watch it.

The real story is even sadder, perhaps corporate dictated "checkpoints" in the movie, but dialogue was an ad-lib mess.

When they announced an all-female Ghostbusters movie I was like: hmm, I gotta check this out.

But when I saw that first trailer I saw the writing on the wall.

I watched this a few weeks ago, was pretty great.

The part I liked best was showing how much the movie could have been improved simply by muting the characters' non-stop talking. "If no one's talking, no one's laughing!" It really feels like they decided to ignore why people enjoyed the first one.

Plinkett's "Stop Talking!" is the best bits. I mean with a few changes he did. Made the stupid Ed Jr. joke workable. I can't belive they didn't play up any tension during that moment. I'm like holy shit. Can these people stop endlessly talking about stuff during a scene. Ghostbusters 2016 is a perfect representation of a 90's anime dub.

I really hated half of the contrived bullshit when it came to the youtube videos. You intetionally edited the videos to not show ghosts. Or to prove your side. So you got yourselfs fired. Not to mention how there would be no way for people to not be sharing this on twitter. Either do social media right. Or set it up that it doesn't exsist in this world.
