Forums - Gaming Discussion - Action RPG BioMutant Gets Gameplay Video

Tagged games:

" Yesterday, Austrian publisher THQ Nordic and newly formed developer Experiment 101 — a studio comprised of ex Just Cause and Mad Max developers — officially revealed after a series of leaks a new IP called BioMutant, a post-apocalyptic kung-fu action RPG that stars an anthropomorphic raccoon looking thing.

Accompanying the announcement was a reveal of a collector’s edition, the first few details about the game, and a debut CGI trailer. At the time, some criticism was hurled towards THQ Nordic for the lack of gameplay showcased for the announcement. But now a day later — said gameplay footage has arrived.

The new trailer is a brief one minute and 15 seconds long, but does show off a variety of things about the game, including: its merging of melee, shooting, and mutant ability action, character progression, exploration of the game’s colorful worlds, different traversing methods (air, land, water),  its character and mutation system, creative item crafting, a few different characters, and more.

BioMutant is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is slated to release sometime in 2018. Currently, the game is at THQ Nordic’s booth at Gamescom 2017  this week. It will also be at PAX West in Seattle next month."

This games look cool , it remind me of Jak and Dexter , If Jack and Dexter comes to PS4 it would be probably like this

Around the Network

Gameplay looks a bit stiff, but it has potential. Will keep an eye on it

They showed a lot of walking and not a lot of combat. Dunno if that's a good sign.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Typical of western developers - A tech trailer *eyeroll* Not the way to excite people.

Actually looks really interesting, too bad it isn't coming to Switch and will likely sell poorly.

Around the Network

Honestly, I dont have strong feeling either way.Not really interested, but not turned off.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

People being negative D :

I have a dream.

This looks cool, but yeah more polish is needed, which is perfectly fine because of the TBD 2018 release

I don't know how long this game has been in development for, but it it doesn't have a solid release date, I assume that it'll get delayed.

Hopefully. As it is, it literally looks like a "you can do anything" game. Combos, guns, ,swords, mechs. I hope there is melee kung fu... since the game said it was a kung fu game

The giant walking hand vehicle thingy was hilarious :)
