The textures actually were the biggest problem. Especially rock textures and prismatic cores could have looked a lot better.

Environments are just fine. Shifting Sands is maybe a bit too empty, but the rest is well crafted.

Character models and facial animation weren't that great though.

Seems to be a lot more effort put into this DE version. Ill be definitely trying this out on release.

I know they've done similar things before. Either free or a huge discount. I just wasn't sure. The original wasn't perfect (loading times being the biggest problem) but was extremely addictive. I'm looking forward to this.

Certainly looks better. I don't mind the relatively average graphics, its the lack of polish and last gen textures that bug me.

Big improvements for X1X, but I'm curious to see how much better this looks original X1 units.

Is the definitive edition getting a physical release? If not, I guess I could just get the vanilla version, if the update's free.

The not so great graphics were not Recores biggest problem. The game just wasn't good. Making it prettier doesn't change that.
