Pretty sure all these gameworks stuff will rape the performance for a lot of gpus but at least its now coming... 170gb is cringe af tho

Also if you have an amd gpu, defiantly wait and see the performance numbers

Correct. However, I don't think there's PC distribution systems where you can distribute a different amount of data depending on the system downloading the data. Everyone gets the same deal. It's possible to distribute the 4k textures as DLC, or perhaps download them in-game according to the settings (but that would probably have to be done using the publisher's servers instead of the platform's, so I don't think it's going to happen), but I'm not really expecting Square Enix to go that far to provide a convenient experience.

Oh I'm expecting exactly that. Nvidia likely knows and doesn't care how much it tanks the FPS, even with the highest end GPU's they sell, which is a shame. What they ask for and give in return isn't exactly well balanced.

 

170gb is going to be insane to download. It takes me a number of hours to download a 60gb game, 170gb will likely take me a day.

 

Since Nvidia is directly involved with this (has been for a while now), I fully expect AMD GPUs to suffer for it =/.
