Probably not, Microsoft already killed Ensemble. The future of AoE is obviously more expansions for AoE II HD (and these are actually kind of good, probably because MS isn't involved).

That doesn't even sound like a reveal, let alone an Age of Empires reveal. It might be one, but it sounds like something else.

Please make this happen, at the E3 PC Gaming Show i and all the streams was like:"WTF Age of Empires 4.....!" And we got trolled as fuck, dude i was so pissed !!! If i would have to name my favourite franchise, it would be Age of Empires and besides Aoe, Empire Earth 1 and Sim City/Cities Skylines im not even a PC Gamer, but PLEASE Microsoft make this happen !!!!!!

And for those of you saying, this is not possible, they already teased at E3 (PC Gaming Show) that we should look forward for something really exciting concerning Age of Empires at Gamescom celebrating its 20th Anniversary and also Microsoft will besides their media showcase do a second 1 Hour Stream ONLY for Age of Empires and i highly doubt they are going to make a 1 hour Stream just for the Remaster !!!
And im not really a PC-Fan, but even i must agree with every PC-Gamer, pls dont let console ruin this great franchise, cuz i love consoles, but when it comes to Strategy Games or Games like Sim City/Cities Skylines, they really belong on PC !!!

Its been around a decade since the last Mainline Age of Empires besides some stupid spin offs, all i want is a mainline Age of Empires 4 !!!! Like Age of Empires 2 HD is still really popular, the remaster alone sold like 4.5 Million according to Steampy and also Gamescom or Europe in General would be a great place to reveal Age of Empires 4 !!! Dont let this be a scenario like with Sim City, where we waited a decade and all we Sim City Fans got fucked from EA, thankfully Cities Skylines saved us. Empire Earth 1 Remasterd with Online or Empire Earth 4 in style of EE1 and Age of Empires 4 are my two dreams for Gaming, let at least one happen Microsoft !!

Im actually so hyped for the conference tomorrow just because of Age of Empires, but maybe the reason they are doing a 1 Hour stream just dedicated to Age of Empires on Monday the following day, means they will reveal it there and it will also be focussed on PC and we Age of Empires Fans get what we deserve !!! :)

I think AoE 4 is a real possibility but that tweet doesn't have anything to do with it. He's just writing about the format of the Xbox show, it's a live show instead of a press conference.

They are working on a Remaster so why remaster a game out of no where? It builds hype and gains peoples interests in the series again.

Also they merged the company into MS Studio's. They just dont go by the old brand name any more however i am pretty confident the employees are still there.

I don't think they're gonna reveal any new games at Gamescom,what would be the point when E3 was just 2 months ago? They should have shown them then since that was a moment they needed to show all the games and exclusives they had.
