It depends on how polished the game is. Nintendo's core audience has little tolerance for games riddled with bugs.

That's what worries me the most about this game. I imagine the preorders will be very low because of this, Bethesda games always release riddled with bugs, and they might interpret this as low interest instead of just waiting for the proper fix.

Tbh Skyrim now has pretty much been sorted out for most part especially as the version coming is the remastered version, it runs with not many issuses compared to when it first came out.

Another thing to factor in NS isn't just being bought by Nintendo's core audience alone as quite a fair number of buyers are outside this group and will likely see the prospect of playing Skyrim on the go as a cool experience.

This game has been quite heavily advertised on Switch, so I'd say at least 1 million is guaranteed.

At full price, I hope they expect 20 copies. It's a 6 year old game, cheaper on every other system ever. Why.

Edit: I think it'll easily sell 1 million units tho. BotW fans are gonna think "I liked BotW, and people say it's like Skyrim? Give me that" + Skyrim is a good seller regardless.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I think 1million is achievable like others have said.

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

Bit less than 250k unfortunately.

I am hoping for 1M lifetime and seriously hoping that Bethesda isn't banking on more than that. It could definitely do more, given that it's a portable version and is appearing for the first time on a Nintendo system... It is also a very old game, though.

EDIT: As a note, I am definitely buying the game myself. I passed on the "special edition" releases so that I could go at Skyrim again fresh on Switch.

It will struggle to sell half a million. Why play Skyrim on Switch when you can play Zelda?

Because you may already have finished playing Zelda...?

It's an old game so it's hard to say. It's been on 2 gens of home consoles so far and soon to be on another. Bethesda is really milking the hell out of it though. Probably around 1 mil to 3 mil.

Zelda will have new story DLC, play that!
