Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Bethesdas expectations on Skyrim for the Switch?

5 million.
Easy.

If executed right (feature complete, no big performance issues, decent graphics), I think it will be a success. 750k should be doable. If it's budget-priced (which honestly it should be) I can see it it sell 1-1,5 million easily.

I would imagine maybe Lifetime 500k. I'm going to buy it though just to support decent 3rd party ports.

They likely hope for 1 mil lifetime minimum, anything above would be nice. It's old, yes, but it's among the most evergreen singleplayer-only games I've ever seen. It being on the go could very well bring in a million buyers.

Around a million or so sales. It has a few things going against it, like being from 2011 and being on a platform that likely has less than usual interest in Western RPGs. But seeing how well the PS4/X1 versions sold, there's still interest in this game. And there seems to be some effort in the Switch version.

Love and tolerate.

A lot of people are really excited to revisit Skyrim despite that game being milked to the oblivion. It was received well in the youtube trailers compared to Bethesda's other uploads. I see it 2 million tops. I would be pleasantly surprised if it sells better than that.

It depends on how polished the game is. Nintendo's core audience has little tolerance for games riddled with bugs.

Yep, Skyrim will generate a fair bit of excitement. It will be a success.

Probably about 1m and for some reason I have a feeling the game may actually do very well.

That's what worries me the most about this game. I imagine the preorders will be very low because of this, Bethesda games always release riddled with bugs, and they might interpret this as low interest instead of just waiting for the proper fix.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
