Forums - Sony Discussion - GT Sport VR trailer, false advertising?

I'm glad Sony is finally doing some marketing for PSVR by bringing out a trailer for GT Sport

However they stated before only one on one races will be support. The video clearly shows more cars on track... So is it false advertising or was one on one only meant for multiplayer? I would assume it's misleading as removing the other cars from the track is the easiest way to improve performance.

It looks like the trailer aove is all footage from the flat screen game, the view looks nothing like playing in VR. Here's some actual psvr gameplay footage, which looks rather awesome.

That actually gets me excitied to play GT Sport in VR, not that bullshit trailer.

I think one on one is just for multiplayer. I think offline will have normal modes.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

We are close on release to discover that.

You know what, I have a hard time imagine what it'd be like playing this game in VR myself. I'd be afraid of getting motion sick.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched that trailer. Weird.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

As far as I know the VR mode will just be against AI and no MP...might be they changed that though but I somehow doubt more than one car...at least on normal PS4.. simply not powerful enough.

Given that fact I as well find that trailer pretty misleading. It doesn't even seem to be VR footage.

While that may be questionable those three trailers really get me hyped for the game..just wish I hadn't sold my G29 last year..Dang money.

The trailer does indeed state as such.

As for the 1v1 thing... who knows at this point. Just assume its 1v1 and be surprised when theres more opponents.

I guess the trailer is more about trying to explain the benefits of playing in VR. Ofcourse with only 1 opponent on the track there is a lot less need to look around to avoid hitting other cars.

I doubt it, actual gameplay trailers have only shown 1 AI opponent so far. Most of the render load comes from 12 highly detailed cars on track, DC reduced or rather butcherd most of the scenery to still have 5 out of 11 opponents. It looks like GT Sport is not willing to compromise on looks and instead scrapped the opposition, plus 2/3rd of the tracks unfortunately.

Maybe the can enable more tracks later, or get the greenlight from Sony to add more opponents on the pro. I'll only be playing it in VR anyway, next to Skyrim.
