Forums - Politics Discussion - Terrorist attack in Barcelona, 13 deaths

Only a few days after the terrorist attack in Ouagadougou, another one.

A van ran into crowds of people in Barcelona, Spain. Spanish media talk about 13 deaths, but so far only one is confirmed. There are also 80 wounded.

Update: 2 suspects have been arrested. One of the terrorists is Driss Oukabir, though it's unclear if he's one of the two arrested people.

So sad.

Looks like vehicular attacks are becoming more commonplace. I guess it's due to how easy it is to cause a large amount of damage, and due to the availability of them.

Horrible

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

*sigh* It's getting harder and harder to ignore these threads... it feels like I can't wake up a single day without news like these. Why can't people just mind their own business? All this crap will never make any sense to me... and it feels like it's only getting worse, too.

While I understand where you are comming from, its about the world we live in.Unlike a political topic, this is something that is simply horrible no matter how you see it and its horrible for the humankind as a whole.Again, I see where you are comming from, but your phrase just comes out as ignorant.

All in all, it's always good to remember that you live on a planet of 7 billion. The news carefully cherrypicks all the absolute worst incidents they can find, on a daily basis - and among 7 billion, they will find SOMETHING. As a whole, though, we live in a wonderful, peaceful, safe era.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

That's terrible news but terrorist attacks are now becoming the norm.

It is ignorant, because I do try to avoid news like this as often as possible. I'm not sure what your point was, either way... if it was about the "minding their own business" thing, I was referring to the people who do terrorist attacks like these (or any other kind of similar crap), not the people who spread the news. I just don't understand what leads people to do this kind of stuff.

Oh, then I misunderstood you.As I understood, it seemed that people that spread the news here should mind their own business and not post anything thats not gaming related and that does not affect where they live.My bad.
