It's not DLC. Downloaded games aren't called DLC, or otherwise practically every game these days is DLC if that's how you like your games.

inFAMOUS First light
Blood Dragon
Left Behind
Gat out of Hell

These are all examples of the same thing.  It's literally called standalone DLC.

I've always referred to them as standalone expansions.

What's this DLC talk? Is it UC4 DLC or a standalone game?

standalone DLC

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

standalone DLC

DLC... DownLoadable Content... It refers to additional content linked to something else, where you need one to get the other.

In this case, Lost Legacy isn't linked to Uncharted 4.

It's not a DLC.

It got the announcement similar to First Light and TLoU Standalone DLC, will come cheaper and shorter than other UC releases, dev time was shorter as well. It have every single hint of standalone DLC.

I know what is used on DLC name. It's additional history on UC4

It's not additional story for Uncharted 4. It doesn't take place in the same setting, isn't part of any events tied to Uncharted 4, isn't linked to any of the plot from Uncharted 4.

You're confusing the original announcement about a planned story expansion for Uncharted 4, to how it grew to become a standalone game.

It's length, price point and dev time are all irrelevent to whether or not the game is stand alone. That actually made me chuckle.

I see we have a fundamental disagreement about the nature of those games. To me, they're like DLC (to an extent), but not really DLC. 'Standalone DLC' as a term doesnt' even make any sense to me; it's paradoxical.

The term DLC is just to generic to categorize anything.

Every single game on the PSN is a DLC if you look at it as a Content that you can Download.

The term Standalone explains itself.

Why are we debating this?!

In the end it doesn't even make a difference. So far all I seem indicate that it is a expansion of the concept to explain things that happened with both chars in the past of 4.

In the past of Uncharted 4? The story of the Lost Legacy happens AFTER Uncharted 4.

The way you talk is as if we should consider Uncharted 2 and 3 as DLC for Uncharted 1.
