Forums - Gaming Discussion - We Happy Few is coming to retail and PS4 next spring with Gearbox as publisher

Gearbox Publishing announced today it’s bringing Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few to retail. But, you’ll have to wait until next year to play it.

We Happy Few, the first-person, action-adventure, survival-horror game from Compulsion Games was originally announced for PC and Xbox One. It has been in early access on Steam, Humble and GOG since last year as well as through Xbox One Game Preview.

The game was announced in 2015 and was a successful Kickstarter project before heading into Early Access.

We Happy Few will be released fully on the aforementioned platforms and PS4 digitally, and as previously stated, Gearbox will publish the retail version.

Anyways, this is cool I guess

Nice. Figured it wouldn't stay XBO/PC exclusive long. I guess technically it never will be. Just the beta build was.

Gearbox as publisher? Have they published anything before?

At this point I think the worst when I hear their name.

I know they did the BulletStorm remaster, for some reason.

But... Borderlands?

Thats literally the only thing they don't screw up.

Bought and played the game last year on xbox and its decent. It starts out pretty good and i like the survival aspect of the game but it got pretty boring after like 3-4 hours.

That's great, I loved what I saw of the game at E3 and I can't wait to try it.

Last I knew it was a PC/XB1 exclusive.
Did they want to release on ps4, so they switched publishers from Microsoft to Gearbox?

It never was a lot of games are preview exclusives because PS doesn't have them.

Excellent! It's one of the games from the Xbox conference I was really interested on. I'm so getting it.
