I have never seen a console fail so hard when it's technically not failing as weirdly as Xbox One has. Seemingly has sold 30 million units but also stagnating from the lack of exclusives. The switch comes mid gen and steals more market from it. MS is acting like they don't care and think the solution is an even more expensive system but still the lack of exclusives.

Xbox doesn't have the world penetration potential that Sony and nintnedo have. They just don't have the content to make it happen. If they sell well their potential has greater worldwide reach. That's what happens your competiton is doing well.

well I don't think everyone who wants switch can get a switch untill next holiday due to stock. plus, quite a few games are still coming out and will continue untill early next year at the least, so the 3ds has a shot, especially with US/UM

I'm not entirely convinced its cancelled either. There is a possibility it could turn into a more traditional hack n slash given MS needs new games.

With the absolutely ridiculous numbers the 3DS is pulling in Japan, I think that it's looking very possible, worldwide.

No that's not it. MS forced a multiplayer mode on the game and the engine wasn't built for that. It's a game that started on the Wii but moved to the Xbox One. MS decided to fund it and part way into development told them they wanted online multiplayer. Kamiya tried to put it in but it wasn't working.

Ms canceled Fable Legends as well, canceled again a game they wanted to be online multiplayer canceled

They Phantom Dust. They gave the studio a very small budget and then told them what they want. Online multiplayer. Darkside said fine but they need more funding for what MS wants. MS told them to fuck off cancelled the game and shut down the studio.

 

Then they cancelled Ion

Knoxvillle

Adrift

Again, Scalebound was too ambitious for its own good. That probably killed the project as it existed but MS owns it so anything could happen.

I played the Fable Legends beta, it had nice visuals but boring gameplay. Assets and story from that could potentially go to Fable 4. It was also built on UE4 which MS seems to be fond of.

There shouldnt have been a Phantom Dust remake. The port is solid and avoids a potentially bad remake.

Eitherway, every project you mentioned is old news now and none of it was significant. The big push for online is mostly gone as well, aside from games having multiplayer features.
