It's a good game with peculiar gameplay and a mildly interesting story (although some characters make you wish there was no story at all). it also has different paths you can take meaning it has a decent replayability. For its low price (at least on PC, I don't know how much it costs on PS consoles) it's a nice experience but its fandom is utter trash. 8/10 is a fitting score imho

Undertale is a fantastic experience that everyone should play. It does so much with so little and leaves you with strong impressions for weeks. Amazing game.

Not that it makes your comment any less nonsensical though.

I thought the characters and story were pretty great, but I do agree with what you said about the fandom.

I personally don't understand the point of Undertale at all, and specifically its humour, based on watching some Youtube videos.

Let's say I tried to play it. I could never get past 2h because the gameplay was so painfully boring and repetitive. It's a walking simulator that tries to be original but only ends up to be annoying to play. The humor is slightly above bad pun level.

I watched a full let's play of it and overall it's a nice story with good presentation. I definitely recommend to watch the game but it's just too much of a bother to actually play it.

It certainly is a feat to annoy me with repetitive RPG gameplay when I usually enjoy grinding in JRPGs. And it's definitely more annoying to play than even BOTW.
