Forums - Politics Discussion - The most 'liked' tweet in the history of Twitter

Just read this a few minutes ago, it's pretty cool :) glad it's this and not something more corporate.

Considering how much his tenure contributed to racial tensions, division and blaming "the white elite" I would portray his comment as the same old hypocrisy of politicians.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

The best of all this is that it must annoy the crap oit of Trump to be so handily beaten on Twitter by the former president 🙂.

The inconvenient truth.

Yes... a lot of people are satisfied with the "discourse", I usually preffer actions and results, because intentions aren't enough and usually are only used to manipulate without any real commitment.

Glad to see you coming back to activity. You were missed in the thread of Sony making a steady growth in the year and on another big quarter for MS.

What I find amusing is that critics of Trump call him a reality tv star, or say he made the white house into a reality tv show, ect.

Yet that started essentially 8 years ago. The media treated Obama and his family akin to Beyoncé. They were on covers of magazines, we were shown what designer brand they were wearing. They were in magazines showing "they are just like us" They would play against celebrities. Ect. Basically everything a celebrity does, they did.

The only difference to Obama vs. Trump is they love Obama and hate Trump.
I mean we had articles about who MIchelle is wearing, and now we have articles about who refuses to make Melania clothing. We had articles about what celebrity met Obama and how cool it was, and now we have articles showing a celebrity meeting Trump and questioning their sanity.

Another difference is that Trump is a celebrity for over 20 years now, so he didn't depended of his presidency to achieve status or fame.

You just made his point even stronger.

No, he tried to equate Obama to Trump through the lens of reality TV.  He tried to claim Obama made the White House reality TV.  The presidency has been under the lens of the camera for decades but Trump has been a reality TV star long before his run for the presidency.  Obama wasn't a reality TV before or after his presidency.

Better stated, Trump was already reality TV.  Obama was only reality TV because the White House itself was already reality TV and is regardless of who is in the White House.

I'm saying that they claim that Trump can't be president because he is just a celebrity/reality tv star and not a politician.

Yet the media did their best to turn Obama, a politician, into a celebrity.

The problem with Trump is not the fact that he's a celebrity. The problem is that he isn't a politician, and that he barely knows anything about politics.

But they've done that since Kennedy.  Every president is given celebrity status.  That didn't start with Obama.

George W Bush was such a celebrity.
